If Joni Mitchell & Sia were writing a song in a smoky London cafe, it might sound like Hadar Manor.
‘Just A Face’ (Also called ‘November Song’) is the first single from Hadar Manor’s album
‘The Year & Now’ – A series of songs written as the year unfolds.
This album came to light via the story of an urban gypsy putting down roots.
Winning the ‘Queen Of The Underground’ award, playing the BBC Introducing stage as a finalist in Glastonbury festival Emerging Talent Competition, playing a live session on radio 2’s ‘The Jon Holmes Situation’ and covering a Paul McCartney song for ‘The Great British Song Book’ on Radio 2 as well as live performances on Capital radio, Radio 4, Radio Five Live, LBC…Her story featured on ITV’s ‘South Bank Show’, collaborating with producer Youth ( Brit winner for Urban Hymns) and dance legend Sandy Rivera ( ‘Finally’) playing shows with a talented then unknown teenager by the name of Ed Sheeran and even an invitation for tea at Number 10 are some of the steps along Hadar’s journey since arriving in London on a grey day with nothing more than a song & a suitcase, all the way from a small village at the feet of Jerusalem mountains.
But every journey takes turns and when it was time for the urban gypsy to settle down Hadar continued her creative path at her home studio writing & recording & producing a song for each month.
And so on the same year two creations emerged.
A baby boy Raphael Ziggy Thomas arrived unexpectedly on the bathroom floor.
Then, month by month, a new song joined it’s siblings, completing the album ‘The Year & Now’.
THE YEAR & NOW is due to release on Feb 12th 2015.
